The world is falling apart at the seams and requires new answers – in culture too. In the fourth “Corona Programme” of the Project Office, the Nuremberg Stadtpark will be transformed into an “art trail” under the motto “Lost & Found”. From September 27th to November 1st 2020 the trail will be open to everyone without restriction daily from 9am to 10pm.
The project office in the City of Nuremberg’s Culture Division has offered prominent local artists, Dürer’s descendants, a chance to engage in unusual projects. Nine pairs of artists working in different disciplines have been brought together to develop installations surrounded by greenery. A visual artist meets a sound artist, a stage designer meets an author, a composer meets a lighting designer and all of them meet the Stadtpark with its diverse landscapes. The result is a “stage of casualness”, an oversized Marble Run, pictures that only become visible when it rains, or a Harp Labyrinth.
The current exceptional COVID situation provided the fundamental impulse for these cross-disciplinary works. In the disruption of the last months, many have lost their footing whilst also winning new insights. Lost and Found.
